It clears my head.
Yesterday I needed some good head clearing, so I had a slightly embarrassing session of yelling the lyrics to some 80's song. I don't even remember which song it was, and likely couldn't remember half the lyrics, but dang, it felt supah good.
Why hang your head, when you can let your hair down and shake it?!
Just a rhetoric question (I think I know the answer to it): Why do hurting people hurt people? I won't deny my own guilt (having been no stranger to pain, myself), but when I was ready to wave the white flag, the hammer got dropped on my foot. I hate being misunderstood, and accused for things that I never had a chance to do or not do.
Bottom line: Regardless of how long I was married and whatever struggles we had, we had a life planned together. We loved each other deeply. His heart weighed a solid 490g and he gave it to me on May 14, 2005. We vowed to follow each other to the ends of the earth. That just happened to be sooner than we had expected. I don't care anymore whether my in-laws supported the marriage or not (apparently they didn't), and I won't try to defend myself any longer. I give up. And I pray God's blessings on them. And I offer nothing but forgiveness.
Romans 12:14-21
14Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[c] Do not be conceited.
14Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[c] Do not be conceited.
17Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. 18If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay,"[d]says the Lord. 20On the contrary:
"If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."[e] 21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Now, all of that aside. I am going over to my stereo to gonna bust several moves and raise my voice:
POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME.....!!!!! C'mon fire me up!!!!

Go Karen!!! They have that coming for TOO long! But, you have show more restraint, mercy, kindness and love to people I would have thrown eggs at and for that, I respect you even more! It's too bad certain people have to be like that...truly sick.
The post wasn't about about them or to them, it was about me and how I choose to live my life in forgiveness and surrender. I appreciate your friendship, support and loyalty.
I have always got your back, sista. Let's rock out soon.
True dat..but it's still nice to see you "stick it to the man" haha
I'll stand with you..beside you, push you from behind, pull you from the front, and when you fall down, I'll heave your lazy tush up and piggy back ya..And I'll also go to war with ya, sista!
When people blame other people for acts of God, they deny themselves the ability to go on. The fact is, we are all the walking dead anyway, given a mere 100 years (or half of that, if you like fast food). People who don't learn that after a tragedy they *must* move on make themselves unable to be a conduit for God's love. So fine: they want to blame someone, blame the engineers at Dodge for the impact survivability of the Neon. But even if you're in a Mercedes, when your number is up, you're gone. We all have to learn to let go... and we will see those we have lost very soon.
These people are clearly in pain. When people are in pain, they lash out. They've lost their *son*, and that's hard. But if they attack you, it is sin. We must love each other, no matter the circumstances we face. If the pain of death stings, we must immediately realize that our life -- however long we have -- is short. I want to live my life for God without compromise, pouring out what God has given me. We cannot live our lives shackled by sorrows. People: life is over fast. Run for the prize! DO NOT WASTE THE LIFE YOU HAVE.
Amen, Sista! :)
I can't thank you enough for sharing your heart with me at lunch yesterday. It touched my heart in a profound way and your life story is a true testament to God's incredible love and mercy. He heals. And in that comes freedom. Pretty amazing stuff :) Thanks again for lunch... next time, its on me ;) Blessings Karen!
You know, you always seem to write something I need to hear...thank you for the message in this post, and for your example of forgiveness in action.
Bless you heaps!!
